Changing the printers ink cartridges in any printer is always a very delicate process so please if you are the first time operator then dont try to refill the ink cartridges as you can do harm to the heads of the ink cartridges. try to get it done by the market professionals so that every refill is safe and it will not add much cost for you for refilling than to completely damage the cartridges by yourself. Some Canon printers have the print head attached to the printer, while others have the print head as part of the cartridge. The first situation has better prices for replacements, but both cases are a lot cheaper if you refill them. Open the printer`s top cover, take the cartridges out (follow the arrows) and replace them with new or refilled ones. Ben Norrington.

You simply need to follow these simple steps that you can also find in the printer manual: open top cover, wait for the cartridge cradle to come up, unplug the cord, pull out the ink cartridges one by one as indicated, replace them gently until the new one snaps back into place. Don`t forget to remove the protective tape before. Ben Norrington.

Hi, It works for me.. I have a canon pixma 328. After a few refill on black cartridge, it suddenly cannot print and the error code is u162. I did a lot of reset procedures and yours is the one that works. Thaks a lot Maryanne, this saves me from buying a genuine canon cartridges.

In order to install ink cartridge in the canon printer, switch the printer on and check that the paper tray should be loaded.Then the access door of the print carriage needs to be lowered at the front of the unit gently.Press the ink cartridge and release. jack Sullivan.

Is it an original or reill ink cartridge? Sounds like the chip in it is faulty so I would bring it back for a replacement. http://www.inkandtoner.ie/inkjet-cartridges-s/1819.htm.

Just press reset/stop button for 6 sec and there u go ....n enjoy!
