"You may be able to reset the ink monitoring or disable it..."

Depending upon the printer, you may be able to reset the ink monitoring or disable it entirely by pressing and holding down the reset button for 5 or 10 seconds; some Windows versions also have the ability to disable ink level monitoring right in the OS. It`s just a nuisance message; most manufacturers use internal chips in the ink cartridges to try to prevent folks from refilling them. They make money on cartridges, not printers.

The Canon Pixma MP 250 printer uses one ink cartridge for each colour: black, cyan, magenta and yellow. There are compatible printer cartridges on the market, but you can also use the Inktec bki-2010d black refill and bki-2011c color refill kits to fill your existing ones with ink. Ben Norrington.

The FINE Cartridge may not be installed properly, or the Cartridge may not be compatible with this machine. Open the Scanning Unit (Cover) and install the appropriate FINE Cartridge. If the error is not resolved, contact the service center.

That`s me - I never get the 0. just fast blinking alarm light. Going to the store to buy a PROPER Canon cartridge - no more refilled ones. Wish me luck.
